Squeaky Beach Review: Unveiling the Reality of this Australian Wonder

   Reading time 1 minute

I was absolutely stoked to visit Squeaky Beach during my Aussie adventure, thanks to all the hype surrounding it. Tucked away in Victoria’s Wilsons Promontory National Park, this beach has been making waves as a must-see natural wonder. However, let me tell you, my expectations were higher than a kangaroo’s leap.

Upon arriving at Squeaky Beach, I was met with stunning, pristine shores and crystal-clear waters, which is undeniably picturesque. The sand, famed for its squeaky sound underfoot, was indeed unique. But, here’s the kicker – it was ridiculously crowded! It felt like trying to enjoy a serene moment in the middle of a rock concert. The beach was teeming with tourists, and finding a quiet spot to soak in the beauty proved to be an exercise in futility. It’s like going to a wildlife sanctuary and finding it overrun by selfie-seeking enthusiasts – you lose that sense of wonder.

As I finally managed to claim a small piece of the beach, I couldn’t help but wonder if all the hype was really worth it. Yes, the scenery is undeniably breathtaking, but the overwhelming crowds stripped away the sense of serenity and tranquility that I had hoped to find. It’s like ordering a gourmet meal and receiving fast food – the taste is there, but the experience falls flat. So, if you’re looking for an off-the-beaten-path gem, Squeaky Beach might not be your cup of tea. It’s more of a tourist trap than the tranquil paradise I had envisioned.
